Debashis Das (Elo 2374) of Orissa continued his impressive showing by forcing another International Master to draw in the 14th International Open Chess Tournament at Balaguer in Spain yesterday.
In the seventh round, he split the point with German IM Roeder Matthias. Earlier in the sixth round, he held Denmark IM Nicolai Vesterbaek Petersen. Debashis now has 4.5 points and he would next meet Dominik Orzech of Poland.
